MUDr. Peter Mojžiš, PhD., FEBO:

graduated in 1998 from the Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Bratislava. From 1998–2003, he worked as a secondary doctor at the Eye Clinic of the SZÚ in Banská Bystrica and at the Eye Clinic of the FZaSP in Trnava. In 2001 he passed the certification exam in the field of ophthalmology at the SZÚ in Bratislava. In 2020, he became an assistant professor at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague and supervisor of a Ph.D. in the field of experimental surgery. He is a member of the Czech Medical Society (ČLK), the Czech Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ČSRKCH), and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS). He is the principal investigator in clinical studies evaluating the effectiveness of multifocal intraocular lenses for Carl Zeiss Meditech.

Tomas Cudrnak, M.D., FRCOphth, FEBO

Dr. Tomas Cudrnak is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at University Hospitals Plymouth and Newmedica Plymouth in the United Kingdom. His areas of expertise include micro-incisional cataract surgery, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2000 and completed extensive postgraduate ophthalmology training across Europe and the United Kingdom. In 2009, he obtained his specialist qualification in ophthalmology. He was awarded Fellowship status by both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London and the European Board of Ophthalmology in Paris in 2010.

Since 2011, Dr. Cudrnak has served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in leading ophthalmic institutions across the United Kingdom, including Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Royal Eye Infirmary in Plymouth. From 2016 to 2022, he held the position of Clinical Director of Ophthalmology at the Royal Eye Infirmary, where he led ophthalmic services and helped drive improvements in patient care. In 2022, he became a partner at the private eye surgery center Newmedica Plymouth.

With more than 10,000 cataract procedures performed, Dr. Cudrnak has established an outstanding reputation for surgical excellence, precision, and patient safety. He has contributed to numerous national and international research projects, regularly presents at professional conferences, and actively participates in the education and training of future ophthalmologists. His commitment to innovation, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care helps ensure exceptional visual outcomes for every patient.
